Titles according to your visits
Hi All
Playing around with giving people ranks according to their number of posts.
You'll see them under each registered person's name.
Happy to have your ideas for other versions/names, post away and if we can agree, I'll change them.

Hi Fearless Dictator,
Not sure if I like the idea of these tag lines that are used on a number of the forums. IMO they appear a bit tacky and almost create a "class" like atmosphere.
As to my tag line, over the last few weeks I have "had a life" outside wine and I don't (four letter words) like it!
Wine is more fun than renovating a shop and being a manager, plumber, tank installer, electrician, architect, painter, floor tiler, plasterer etc; even though I employed a heap of those people I still wound up getting involved in all aspects myself.
Its a bit like the difference between the pig and the chook in relation to breakfast, the chicken is involved in producing the egg but the pig is committed.

You may be right, its why its taken me so long, didn't want to copy other forums, didn't want to be tacky, tried to think of clever ones, (but clearly lack the necessary mental ability
Some folks like them, and at the very least, for those seeking advice, it let's them know who've been around for a while and will, most likely, know the answers and be willing to post.
Love any other views, or ideas for the names?

Actually, its no indication of how long you've been here just how many posts you've made on this new forum with no indication of quality or length of the posts.
Being someone who posts infrequently but has been here forever, it doesn't really show that.
If you're going to do it though, I quite like Graeme's suggestion.

Agree with the concerns about hierarchy - is there any way to just have it in the WAI section? Possibly of more relevance there.

Awww... Thats a shame. The way I saw it is that the idea behind it is not to classify people but to encourage people to post, if people don't post to the forum it dies - simple as that.
Perhaps we should all try to help this forum grow and suggest ideas that may encourage people to post?
These types of forums are healthy expressions of peoples opinions (whether right or wrong) and should be encouraged to grow, so lets get behind Gavin and think up some ideas - What would encourage you to post more (besides free wine
) !!

markg, I whole heartedly agree that posting is the lifeblood of the board. But I can also see the implied hierarchy with such labels.
Without such debate the board would not have received these last 20+ posts. Ironic?
Hmmm.. What sort of discussion is this ? A nested or an embedded conumdrum ?
Cheers
