G'day
I've developed some interest in white Burgundy over the past couple of years (without having the budget for Grand Cru sadly), and have built a modest collection of wines mostly from this decade. I don't open them, however, as often as I should.
Quite a deep rich yellow in the glass. A full nose with ripe peaches and nectarines, pears, cedary oak and some butter. The palate adds some citrus (especially lime) to the mix, with a hint of apricot as well. There's a buttery or creamy texture, and oak (tannic) grip is noticeable. Acid is moderate (suggest some malo) and the wine has a reasonably long finish.
An interesting wine with a degree of complexity for an entry-level Burgundy.
Cheers
Allan
