Indeed, a good deal. Thanks to a certain someone from here for the nudge via text yesterday!

Managed to get the 18 JR and went the 19 Michael, which I really enjoyed on release.

Cheers Ed

An earlier vintage of this was a lightbulb moment for me and sparkling shiraz. Likely even better with a few years development.

6 2025 Merle
3 2021 Vanguard

The Merle is the best Riesling I have had this year.
The Vanguard is a first release Cabernet Sauvignon. Apart from perhaps a 1996 or 1998 Wendouree, I am seriously struggling to recall ever having a better Clare Valley Cab.

Cheers Craig

Mine was Primo Joseph, then I found this. Joseph much harder to buy now, and the bottle shape was even harder to store.

This is much easier to find, not sure why as it's equally as good. ....although a different style I feel great western fruit really bodes well for the sparkling style.
Crown seal will ensure it lives forever. Disgorged 2019 and direct from winery.
This is my go to Xmas lunch wine and will be again this year. Cannot wait

Have a lot of 2012s, one 04 left and one 07.

Drank a 1994 (someone else's) recently which was mind-blowing. Will post the notes soon.

Have some 2012 Ashton Hills somewhere too. Now that is another top sparkling red: uses Wendouree fruit. Epic wine .

I got one of these in a mystery pack from cdco and really enjoyed it. It’s very different but very good also !

Where was that offer from again? I think I remember seeing that recently

This was from the Langtons Broker Service, which i have found to be excellent and i use them
quite regularly. Once you have a dedicated/personal broker and (after a while) form the relationship
which narrows down what you are looking for/tastes, they then tailor offers to you. My broker knows im
on the lookout for well priced sparkling red: I was one of the first calls he made, sold a dozen bottles
with a 3 minute phone call. As they run on commission, the less time they take to make a sale, the more sales they can
make. He knows he doesnt have to go through the whole speel, ie 105 halliday points blah blah. He says 'I have this wine at this price": I say yay or nay
and phone call over.

That’s right I think I saw it on Langtons - and yes sounds like you both are on the same page which makes it easy !

As an aside on the Primo Joseph I recall battling another bidder for very old vintage ports at an auction in Adelaide a few decades ago. They were being sold at stupid prices. Turns out the other bidder was Primo who used the VPs as dosage for the Joseph.
