Have guests (well, family) and opened a 2000 Mt Billy Antiquity. And first impressions were that I was overwhelmed with how it resembled the 2000 Gnadenfrei.
A slightly green (but funky and nice) noce, a touch lifted with VA (although Tanya disagreesn and is nagging me about my "VA complex"), and raspberry overtones, although the Mt Billy is richer and riper.
A very good wine, well made and balanced, and very distinct. Drink now - 2008-ish.
Cheers, David
