I don't keep a lot of Shiraz these days, but I do have a few of these. And as it turns out, a worthwhile wine indeed. This really is kinda nice in a Barossa way.
Very dark colour, red purple at the rim. Heady lifted prune black olive and licorice nose, a little VA apparent, along with some milk chocolate. Palate is jubey blackcurrants mulberries, sarsparilla and prominent but tasty cedary, dark chocolate elements. Warm and cuddly and rich and full of stuffing. This is a beauty in its big, Barossa style. 15% alcohol. This will hold for a bit longer, not sure if or how it might improve though.
91 points or thereabouts.
Cheers
