Tasting Note/Opinion Request...

O.K. having been pleased with a 2002 Annie's Lane Riesling (Clare Valley) which I bought after the winemaker was "hyped" in the Los Angeles Times a few months ago and after inquiring about another winemaker, I simply told the importer to send me a mixed case of rieslings that they had enjoyed.
Here they are:
2002 Mt. Horrocks (Clare Valley) US$19.99
2002 Tim Adams (Clare Valley) US$13.99
2003 Reilly's Watervale (Clare Valley) US$14.99
2003 Mesh (Eden Valley) US$23.99
What did I get ? Anything to be excited about ?

Bob,
Reilly's are relative newcomers (est 1994) to the industry. I have not seen or tried their wines.
Tim Adams is a very good Clare producer with a solid following and I rated his 2002 Riesling as very good.
The Mt Horrocks 2002 is an excellent wine. Hope you enjoy it.
Mesh is the product of the talents of Jeffrey Grosset and Robert Hill-Smith (Yalumba) The 2003 is the second release of this label and should be of the highest order.

Thanks everyone ! I opened the Mesh last night and it really is good. Now just gotta try and round up some more; three bottles may not be enough.
Anyone have any thoughts on how the US$ prices compare with Aus$ ? After the curreny conversion, I mean; just curious what these things go for to you guys.
Thanks.

Bob,
Guesstimates only and retail prices quoted.
Reilly's - no real idea - but probably $15-16
Tim Adams - $17
Mt Horrocks - $28
Mesh - $29
With the conversion to US dollars you've done quite well.
