FWIW, just a short recap on the night at Tilley's.
Food was good.
Wine was very good.
Leo Buring 1998 Special Release Eden Valley Riesling - Still a pup - Yum.
Leeuwin Estate 1999 Art Series Chardonnay - Seriously good young juice.
Cantemerle 1989 - Quintessential Bordeaux - years in front of it.
De Bortoli 2000 Noble One - Still one of our best - not a patch on the best Frogs tho'.
Music was extra good.
The band was hot and the Queen of Oz Soul just keeps on keeping on!
Overall Impression
Fantastic - good friends, great ambience, wonderful music, lovely wine......
Disappointment
No second encore (after minutes of raucus encouragement)
Things don't get much better than this!
