We spent the weekend visiting our son in Melbourne and enjoyed dinner at Paris Go which is BYO. Whilst an excellent venue we need recommendations for other BYOs for future visits. Any recommendations?

Carl, Malcolm (MJS) should be able to help you out.
Apparently Scorpi is a very good one.

Vino Ed might also be able to help out.
I may have a relative who will be relocating to Melbourne next year. I really like the place and have been to a number of places in the city, but generally just buy a glass. I'll be thinking same in 2027.
Cheers Craig

Scopri is excellent

The recreation in Fitzroy is another excellent one but call and make sure they are offering on the night you want to go

Matteo's used to do it, not sure if they still do

Shark Fin Inn is another good venue. Central to everything with good food and service.

Rock Kung in Glen Waverley do it, but it's a Chinese restaurant so don't expect 1st class dining or service. Food is excellent. Byo glassware too

My three go to BYO's on the northern side of Melbourne are Paris Go, Scopri (outstanding) and Matteo's. The Recreation is also good. There's also heaps of Asian joints with byo at a pittance for corkage. I think we took byo to Ti Amo in Lygon St some years ago, if you want Italian in that area, Waiter's Club in the CBD as well. Jim's Greek Tavern in Johnston St is good. France Soir in South Yarra, but not byo at all times. For good Chinese, Shark Fin Inn in the CBD (as per Rossco's recommendation) and Choi's in Hawthorn
