TN: Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz 2017

G'day
I acquired a six pack of this some years ago and stashed it away (i.e. forgot about it). Time to open one.
Deep purple colour. The slightly volatile Penfolds aroma was evident during decanting, along with some leather. It settled fairly quickly in the glass, to reveal some developing dark plums, mocha, cloves, licquorice, and a little leather and eucalypt. The palate is reflective of the nose, with some savoury elements added. Tannins are integrated and provide modest grip, and the acid provides a degree of refreshment. Medium to long finish.
Enjoyable, but not blowing me away. It will probably last for years yet.
Cheers
