G'day
I've been a fan of this winery for well over a decade now, and have cellared and drunk their wines back to the 2007 vintage.
Deep purple in colour. A developed and dusty nose with quite sweet blackberry, bay leaf, blueberry, and modest savoury (oak?) notes. The palate is very fruit (sweet) dominant, with more blackberry, mulberry, blueberry all flowing across the tongue. There's a degree of tannic grip and slight mouth puckering, and the acid, while soft, is spporting the abundant fruits well. Medium to long finish.
I'm surprised at how primary this wine is. Lots of life left here.
Cheers
Allan
