Purchased during a cellar door visit in late 2016.

Yellow in colour, tending to gold. Rich and complex nose with butterscotch, grapefruit, shortbread, nectarine and some savoury oak. The palate is moderate up front, but the fruits on the mid and back palate fan out nicely. Good refreshing acid and oak is not obtrusive.

This wine is elegant rather than powerful, and is looking good right now. It should hold for a couple of years, and possibly improve slightly, depending on your tastes in aged chardonnay.

We find the Estate Chardies are good for 10 years in general, while the Reserve (or The Paringa single vineyard) tend to be just coming in at around 10 years. Varies by vintage.

I'll have to see if we've any of the 2015 Estate and give it a try.
