I usually prefer the Rufus Stone McLaren Vale, but then I prefer South Oz to Victorians (and that goes for the wine as well)

Agree, I preferred the McLaren Vale to the Heathcote when I tasted them Saturday at Vintage Cellars. The promoter was promoting Heathcote. Saying how they were much cheaper compared to the likes of Jasper Hill, etc in the area. He even went on to say that it is an early drinking wine whereas the McLaren Vale would need some cellaring time. I then tasted the McLaren Vale and preferred it. I told him of my opinions, he tried the McLaren Vale and agreed. Seems the McLaren Vale needs some time to open up.
