I really liked the Ebeneezer. I see Steve will shortly release a couple of new wines, though only circa 400 bottles of each…

12 x 2008 Seppelts Show Reserve Sparkling Shiraz - Hard to say no to at $20 a bottle. Brownie points from the wife for this purchase
Cheers
Ian

Where on earth did you find that at $20??? What a bargain

Wow… wish I’d seen it. I’m opening the 86 SR next week… I probably paid $20 on release decades ago, so you guys got a great bargain
They made a small boo boo on the Seppelts website that has now been rectified. They have been sent so they have honoured the price. Normally $80 a bottle, they had 6 packs for $120. Only lasted a day before they realised the error. My wife loves Sparkling Shiraz and at that price, it will be a quaffer. Just dirty on myself for not ordering more. I paid $75 a bottle for the 2012.
Cheers
Ian

Yes got the same email. Unfortunately didn't take long for a super premium to pop up. Stupid move I reckon, as single barrel wines are very subjective. The other wines are great, so spending double the price is simply not necessary.
I am happy with the couple of dozen I have picked up across the 8 wines and that's it.
Cheers Craig

Never heard of it.. for a second I genuinely thought it was an Irish riesling based on the name and I nearly fell off my chair

I guess not a purchase, but found a case of mixed Barolo and Barbaresco in my cellar I’d brought home from Hong Kong that was unaccounted for. Bonus! Barolos from 04 and including Cavallotto Bricco Boschis 2008 and Azelia Crus. A recent trip to Hong Kong also turned up a case of Mascarello Monprivato I didn’t know I had and a case of Giacosa Aslili Riserva 2004, again, slipped through the system. Very pleasing to add these via cellartracker without any recent expense.

Ed,
I picked up either the 2021 or 2022 (can't exactly recall way way too much Riesling) for about $9 through VM.
Steve Wilbrim has been in the Clare Valley for decades...used to have Neagle's Rock winery, and now his own show.
If an etailer is flogging the 2023 cheap, could be interested.
Cheers Craig
