TN: 1999 Janz
Just cracked open a bottle of the 1999 Janz. Fruit driven, that is without much yeast or barrel characters, of excellent depth. Broad on the front and middle but falls away on the back. Sweet apples, lemon, lanolin and touch of honey with hints of yeast and spice. Ends very citrus. Not complex. Medium length. Great bead. Good acid that I hope enables the wine to develop more complexity and fill out the back palate in time, but I am not sure. The mouthfeel is the highlight of this wine. It is very, very creamy and justifies its $30+ price tag. Rated Recommended/Highly Recommended.

Hmmm... worth the price to try at least one bottle, but not "excellent". I would not recommend buying a case of the stuff. I think the Yalumba D 1998 Cuvee for the same or slightly less price, is far better and definitely excellent.
Adair
I appreciate the clarification, thanks Adair.
