Dark red with an impenetrable core and a hint of amber in the meniscus. Lovely, slightly lifted, bouquet showing some deepset, blackcurrant and plum fruit backed by classy, savoury French oak and traces of briar, dark chocolate and, albeit a touch premature, the first hint of cigar box. Wonderful stuff! Cedar and sandalwood predominate on the mid-weight palate reflecting a hefty input from the oak with more of that plummy, dark berry fruit providing the necessary counterbalance. The fine-grained chalky tannins and admirable acidity have woven seamlessly with the fruit and oak to deliver a classy, well-made package. Needless to say, the wine has good length, and above all, great breadth.
I'm sure the QPR here is nothing short of unbeatable
